Deigma is about to set off for the Marine Equipment Trade Show in Amsterdam, which will take place in November, 19-21.
Just like last year, we expect the trade show to be a strong attraction for manufacturers, professionals, engineers and sailing lovers from all over the world.
All eyes are focused on the electric propulsion with the new air-cooled and liquid-cooled motors.
Thanks to the launch of Deigma Barca Zero, a 10m-B34, Deigma has a proper floating laboratory for testing all the components necessary for
electric-powered sailing.
One year later, not to mention the many challenging regattas Deigma Barca Zero took part in, we strenuously tested the boat's electrical system during long transfers:

• Carrara - Cannes.

• Cannes - Sanremo

• Sanremo - Carrara

• Carrara - Marina di Pisa

• Punta Ala - Santa Margherita

 
over 1500 miles, in addition to the tests carried out in the Gulf of Tigullio.
The results are really encouraging: cruising speed 5.5/6 knots with engine at 1600 rpm delivering 5.5kw. We are very satisfied with the results and the final efficiency of the propulsion. In fact we chose to work with a direct motor-propeller axis without reduction in order to use all the power of the motor without losses.
Barca Zero has been equipped with:

• Deigma Air 8-48-2000 motor

• 20KW Si battery pack

• inverter type ASYNCHRONOUS MOTORS

• 13-inch propeller with 6.6 pitch, 2 blades
